The Samii Family site was begun as a project to help all Samiis around the world get a better understanding of their roots and to assist future generations to be able to trace their history, stay in touch with each other, and learn how we, as individuals and as a family have contributed to the communities we live in.

When my father, Dr. Abdol Hossein Ebtehaj Samii, passed away, I decided to dedicate this site to his memory. Dr. Samii was a loyal and generous man whose love for family was boundless. This love for family was matched by his patriotism to Iran and his passion for his career as a physician and scholar. I hope to be able to reflect these qualities of my father in these pages.

The Samii family has much to be proud of, as can be seen throughout this site. Not only have we contributed to the wealth of Iran and the world at large, we have also been an exemplary role model as a family for others to aspire to. As such, it is my sincere hope that all the Samiis who happen across this site will assist me in creating a resource of information that we can look at in years to come as a further source of pride.
